Demolishing Strongholds

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete." ~ 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

As disciples of Jesus, we often face battles that are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). While we live in a physical world, our warfare is not fought with worldly weapons, but with those divinely empowered by God to tear down strongholds. These spiritual weapons enable us to demolish arguments and every arrogant obstacle that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We are called to capture every thought and make it obedient to Christ, bringing our minds into alignment with His truth. Through this spiritual discipline and reliance on His strength, we experience the victorious power of Christ, overcoming opposition and living in His freedom. It is through His grace and our surrender to His authority that we find true triumph.
