Strength and Wisdom for Godly Living
"For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light." ~ Colossians 1:9-12
Paul's prayer for the Colossian believers is a powerful guide for us today, asking that we be filled with the knowledge of God's will through spiritual wisdom and understanding. This divine insight empowers us to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, consistently pleasing Him in all circumstances. As we strive to live such a life, we will naturally bear fruit in every good work and grow deeper in our understanding of God. This journey requires supernatural strength, enabling us to face challenges with great endurance and patience, all while maintaining joy. Ultimately, this perspective leads us to give thanks to the Father, who has graciously qualified us to partake in the inheritance of His holy people. Practically, this means daily seeking God's wisdom through His Word and prayer, allowing it to guide our decisions and interactions, and consciously choosing gratitude even when life is difficult.
